## About Patchstack
Patchstack offers the fastest vulnerability mitigation for WordPress. Get up to 48 hours early protection against new vulnerabilities. Patchstack's highly custom protection rules are deployed on a per-site basis, mitigating vulnerable components without touching website code or affecting functionality. How does Patchstack work? As the world's largest WordPress vulnerability discloser, we combine cutting-edge security research with a hyper-targeted protection engine. Patchstack uses a connector plugin to gain visibility into WordPress sites. When a new vulnerability is discovered, Patchstack knows which connected websites are affected, and immediately deploys protection rules to only those affected sites. Each protection rule is specific to an individual vulnerability, and Patchstack has an inventory of 11,000+ such rules. Because of this, protection can be deployed with the smallest possible performance footprint, and with minimal risk of false positives. Who is Patchstack for? We provide our vulnerability mitigation service to known hosting companies like Digital Ocean, GoDaddy, Hostinger and more. Patchstack is easy to roll out for hundreds of thousands of sites without costly infrastructure changes. We also provide a SaaS platform for agencies to manage vulnerabilities across their clients' websites. Patchstack is also available for agencies via tools like WPUmbrella and SolidWP.

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

Patchstack offers realtime monitoring of your websites and issues virtual patches if any vulnerabilites come to light, protecting you straightaway.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

A site malware scanner would be useful but is not part of Patchstack

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vulnerabilites and attempted hacking are now part and parcel of owning / running a website. I'm happy knowing that my sites are protected, in real time, by Patchstack, allowing me to concentrate on running my business instead.

 ### 3. Perfect solution for protecting you WordPress websites

PatchStack stands out to me due to its responsive support and continuous updates. It feels like having a reliable partner keeping my website secure, with active monitoring and prompt solutions to potential threats.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

The user interface, although user-friendly, could benefit from more customization options.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PatchStack effectively addresses the challenge of managing vulnerabilities on my website. By providing real-time scanning and prompt patching, it helps prevent potential security breaches and ensures that my site remains resilient against emerging threats.

 ### 4. Peace of mind on Autopilot!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredy P. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

I like the simple setout and ready to use approach, there's no complicated configurations to make it work right away.
It has a lot of features that make managing my websites a fast and easy task.

Has a great firewall with lots of options to make it work the way we need (I left pretty much all as default and has been great), but it offers some rules to really control the security.
It also provides a way to enable/disable as well as update and uninstall the installed extensions right from its dashboard, so if the website is acting up we can start troubleshooting from here.

Customer support is great, once we had an issue that ended being a server configuration, and they help me solve it quickly.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

The hourly uptime checkup has missed some issues when my websites are down (due to hosting issues), it is not related to WebARX but would be great to have a log of that as well.
To compensate we implemented “better uptime” that has checkups as often as 30 seconds if required. These two work great together so is not a dislike more of a good to have option but not really required.

**Recommendations to others considering Patchstack:**

It provides peace of mind knowing that they are taking care of the security on our websites, has way more features than what I know how to use, it should have plenty of features for more advanced users.
And the most important to us, it requires little maintenance to keep it working properly while protecting our websites close to setting and forgetting.
For all the benefits the pricing feels right, specially considering the annual plan, if you have lots of websites then it might get pricey but if the security for those websites is important I believe is worth it.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the security issues we had in the past have been gone since we started using it, so pretty much solved all our problems in that regards.
The main benefit is I no longer need to check our main website to see if is still up and not hacked, our latest issues have been hosting related issues.

 ### 5. Patchstack is the strongest solution there is.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditya R. | Managing Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

Its strength makes it virtually almost unbreakable. And, its features are constantly being updated to make sure that your website is always protected.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

Nothing really, it's a 10/10 solution for me.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure that my websites are always protected.

 ### 6. Too Strong To Fail

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

WebArx is a stupidly powerful WordPress Plugin that I think is better than WordFence.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

It can actually be too strong. If I'm not smart about fixing my redirects or lowering the firewall settings, it can turn off some of my pages.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website Security. It may be a one-trick pony, but it does it better than anyone else. You can download it right through the Plugins Menu, but if you sign up for an account you can also view the dashboard on their website in real-time. This is indispensable for someone who is managing multiple websites and needs to issue out security reports on a regular basis.

 ### 7. excellent option to keep my website safe and safe from attacks.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** carl t. | software developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

In my experience using webarx I can say that the vast majority are moments that clearly show that it is one of the best tools to keep my website safe.
All the activities of my website are being monitored, including POST, GET, upload, etc. So, I can see When something wrong happens on my website and I get a notification from the WebArx alarm.
I love your control panel in which not only shows the constant monitoring of my website and that of my clients, but also vulnerabilities, uptime, blacklists and other important aspects.
Another point to emphasize, your technical service is very good and effective. responds in a friendly, simple and precise manner, thus solving problems quickly and reducing lost time

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

Its interface is intuitive but they could make it better, making it easier to use and understand.
could implement other way of Security Alerts apart from Slack, Email. thus making threat detection more versatile and effective. improving the security of the website.

**Recommendations to others considering Patchstack:**

I highly recommend webarx, for its great efficiency, versatility and security that it provides to all its users. perfect for anyone who seeks to protect and constantly monitor your website for any threat that may damage or alter the integrity of the site.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

webarx has helped us a lot in keeping the integrity of our websites secure and regulated under any threat. and as a developer I present with the need to constantly monitor them to be alert of any attack. although as a human being I have the need to do another task webarx always tell me with a security alert in case of any unforeseen.

 ### 8. great tool to improve the security of your website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Surapong R. | Advertising Specialist, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

1. Security advises, they are quite simple to implement and help to improve the ability of a website to withstand attacks
2. Very nice to have uptime monitoring tool as well, so I don't need to use another app for that.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

1. They could add some instructions for their advice on security so it will be faster to implement them.
2. The scanner could be much more advanced (scan custom directories, try to apply SQL injections etc.)
3. They could add more alerting channels, email + Slack are not enough (in my opinion).

**Recommendations to others considering Patchstack:**

As it has free trial, you can sign up and see how their scanner will work with your website set up. If you will see it is helpful, you may continue using it.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is much better to do some security monitoring and keeping it on a good level before you lost your data. So that is exactly why I'm using that tool.

 ### 9. Impressive Web Application Firewall and Web Monitoring product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ng Fang K. | Business Owner, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

I have been tested with many premium WordPress security products in the market, WebArx is one of the product that I'll highly recommend if you care about WordPress security.

High Transparency and Impressive Monitor feature with WAF
When we want our home with high security, we will install a CCTV on our home with 360° no dead angle monitoring, sensors and alarm to get alert. In website, we may need these features. We all know about security, but we can't 24 hours monitor our website. We all are human, we will have to sleep, rest and working. Hiring a specific engineer to look at all of this is not cost efficient, but if you setup automate solution with WebArx that will be a difference story.

The WebArx give us the value is we need not to care about this, all the activities in a website is being monitored including the POST, GET, upload or etc requests. They will have the sensors and CCTV all around the corner. So, you will able see malicious all the activities on your website. When something wrong in your website, you will get notify by the WebArx alarm. Cool right?

Many security plugins doing pretty well, but you will never know what's happening behind your house. With WebArx, you can see what attacker trying to inject on your website. Using this product, they give us transparency and we will know all the activities. Not just this, they will also doing secure code review and analysis on most of the popular WordPress plugins! It's really impressive! I could see the product is getting better and better!

P/S: I'm a WordPress and Kali Linux user for many years, I do highly concern about Cyber security. I have even test it with OWASP attack on my own website to verify is this working during my first month with this product. But, this one works great. I would say this is one the greatest WordPress security solution I'll highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

The uptime monitoring features are 1 hour interval in Feb 2019. Hope to see some improvement here!

File and Database scanning is not available. But they do all the activities monitored, so any malware coming in will log down. Just look back on look, they can quickly find out the malware.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The unique selling point of this company is outstanding, they covered the OWASP that many WordPress security plugin doesn't cover.

They automate the process of hardening security. You will spend less time worry about how to set up all the sensors around 360° no dead angle monitoring and have more time to do your things.

 ### 10. Must-Have for Marketing and Web Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthias F. | Content Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

WebArx does a great job of not only creating a plug-in that goes great with wordpress or whatever website platform you use, but it has a fantastic dashboard for you to view all of your existing clients/websites in tandem. This is an amazing future that not only lets me view the overall site health of all my clients but it also proves to be a great tool similar to reporting that let me showcase some of the value I bring my clients.

Being able to show how many threats were deterred is a great selling point.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

Nothing So Far. integration with wordpress could be easier, but it really isn't any more difficult than uploading custom themes or plug-ins, I'm okay with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Patchstack:**

Do Price comparisons. But ultimately, I would recommend WebArx, it provides a whole experience with it.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website Security. And it solves it in spades. If you are thinking about insuring and securing a website that you are managing, WebArx will get the job done.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

Simplicity in implementing the firewall and other security hardening features with a few cllicks on wordpress sites. Next is the clean dashboard which shows vulnerabilities, blacklists, uptime and other important aspects next to the domain, with easy toggle to activate or disarm the firewall.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

Most of my sites are on nginx but the htaccess config options (webarx wp plugin) keeps showing. Will be great on their WP plugin if they can hide the htaccess config options on nginx setup to avoid confusion.

**Recommendations to others considering Patchstack:**

Have peace of mind knowing webarx is consistently scouring the dark web to defend your websites.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the way that easily is installed in Wordpress, how its support is super knowledeable and more important that it does the job on protecting my sites, comment and login screen placing captcha without ruining the design. Awesome

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

In the beginning I had to ask them to rescan my site on the support chat, but now that is solved and they developed a Rescan Website button. So, no dislikes now.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm saving money on hosting by securing my websites with WebARX. So, they impacted me on my pocket and my tranquility.

 ### 13. "Nobody is going to hack me!"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arvo T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

They changed my views, after seeing how automated and how simple it is to hack into my webpage and ruin my uptime, which is vital to my company. I realized that my webpage can't be just a "contact for offer", it has to be much more.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

How difficult is for them to make people understand, how important it all is.

**Recommendations to others considering Patchstack:**

Communicate with them, and you see there is much more than startup.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most importat - uptime. I do not have international customers, I have local and not seriously intrested in woodpainting and other woodwork related things. So most of my time goes explaning and that is where my superprotected webpage gomes in.

**Official Response from Agnes Talalaev:**

> Thank you Arvo for your review.

We love to hear that our customers are happy with the product. About your dislike: since cybersecurity is a difficult topic and field then it's sometimes hard to understand why these services are needed until there's a situation that cannot be overlooked. Unfortunately or fortunately that is the point where a lot of website owners, agencies or freelancers turn to security providers. We work every day to make people more aware of the need for security.

Thank you for your review, we truly appreciate it!

 ### 14. Prevents your websites from being hacked

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Patchstack?**

I like the clear dashboard, you can see the state of all your connected websites. You can manage firewall and plugins, see activity logs, uptime and the number of blocked attacks.

**What do you dislike about Patchstack?**

Sometimes the dashboard won't load my websites. The fix is to simply refresh the page.

**What problems is Patchstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using WebARX to protect all of my websites. It's always better (and easier) to prevent the hack than to later find it and delete it.
